Let the spelling begin

Starting this coming week the girls will be bringing home a list of spelling words every monday. Then they get to choose 2 extra words a week to learn to spell.

I'm hoping this is when Jazzy starts to gain more confidence in herself. She does really good with memorizing things, and she's able to spell all of her sight words.

I'm also hoping this will get her teacher to calm down a bit. Yesterday she started in on me about Jazzy is still behind. I swear she expects Jazzy to make a turn around over night.

For those that don't know, in Nov Jazzy was diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. She does wonderfully on the visual side of things, but when it comes to hearing and understanding what she hears, she doesn't do well, at all. Since finding this out, I've been able to work with her differently than before. The teacher, not so much.

This school is great, but this teacher's lack of patience is beginning to drive me insane.

Anyway, I got off topic. I'm hoping that with Jazzy's strength in visual and memorizing, that she will do awesome with the spelling. Maybe with this, the teacher will actually praise her and help her with the self confidence.

Spelling was always so much fun. Now that I am older, and the words bigger I am thankful for Spell Check.
I hope she does well!
